Hi, my name is Morgan, and I'm a fabric addict.
Admitting it is the first step, right? I can't go into a fabric store without buying something...you know, because I'll use it ...'someday'. I just love imagining what fun things I can make, but my imagination works faster than my hands! My grandma's hope chest is overflowing with fabric waiting to be used. It was time to do some Spring cleaning (or in my case, Summer cleaning. The temp was 102 in Laredo yesterday!) to make room for some new fabric I just bought (I know...I know...), so I thought: GIVEAWAY!!
I have not one...but TWO stacks of fabric for TWO lucky winners!
I organized the scraps into 'boy' and 'girl' piles.
This scrap stack is full of colorful fabric that would be fun for any boy. The sizes range from half yards and smaller.
These pretty fabrics range in all different prints, paisley, floral, lady bugs...perfect for a little girl! Some of the smaller pieces would be great for doll clothes or appliques. I don't think there are any half yards in this pile, but there are a few fat quarters.
Want to know how to win?
All you have to do is leave a comment, telling me what you would do with the fabric if you won. I'll draw 2 names this Friday, March 4, 2011.
GOOD LUCK!!
wow, those look like some good stacks! lots of fun patterns.
ReplyDeleteI think we should start a support group for Fabric Addicts. I have been trying to use up some of my spare fabric. I am working on some crayon rolls, bags, and blankets. :) - Felicia
ReplyDeleteI always love the fabric that you have! I can never find the good stuff like you do! I would use the scraps to make fun things for Avery. I would make some hair accessories, maybe a patchwork little blanket, the ideas are endless! :)
ReplyDeleteI want the girl fabric to make some cute stuff for Carly of course! Maybe some cute bows for her hair or a few appliqué onesies :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a great project for scraps right now--decorating Hazel's dollhouse! I have 4 beds to make bedding for, 2 couches to upholster, and 5 windows to curtain. All in miniature scale. :D
ReplyDelete(it feels weird to enter to win a friend's giveaway, BUT...that looks like some cute fabric!) =)
ReplyDeleteI been wanting to make a quilt for E so these would work great!
I would LOVE this fabric! I have been teaching a few of my daughter's friends to sew - we just had a mini "Dress a Girl Around the World" day where we made dresses to give to girls in impoverished countries.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of friends having babies right now! I would most likely do a combo of framing some of the fabrics to decorate baby room walls or make an owl pillow because I have been wanting to do one of those forever! Its my first attempt, should be interesting!
ReplyDeleteI want the girlie fabric :) Just got a new sewing machine and can't wait to use it. I wanna make some little things for Eden, crayon roll, and some paci clips for the babies.

Wow! This is my first time to see this! Amazing!! If I had some fabric, I would sit with Cassie at the sewing machine and begin some lessons!!!

ReplyDeleteTomorrow (the 4th)'s my birthday! A perfect day to pick ME! I just recently started sewing, and with all the friends STILL getting pregnant around me, I'll be making lots of handmade gifts. So I'll happily take girl OR boy! ;) thanks for including me.
ReplyDeleteif i won i would learn how to sew and be able to make things for my super cute neice and nephews :)
