Thank you everyone who left comments for my giveaway! It really blessed me to read all of them! You all have so many lovely memories! Some made me laugh out loud, some made me almost cry, and others made me think back to more of my own memories!
And now...for the winner! Comment #63 from SewLindaAnn, who said:
The day is here! Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day! Thank you all who are stopping by for the first time, and welcome back old friends! I participated in Giveaway Day last time and it was so much fun. Good luck to everyone who enters.
I decided since I love Christmas to giveaway two of my Christmas items from my shop! A Coffee Cozy and a Hanging Kitchen Towel! Just in time for Christmas!
The Coffee Cozy is made with Riley Blake 'Be Merry Christmas Trees' in cream.
'Twas the Night Before Christmas' is on the inside! I chose to close it with a green sparkly button. How fun!
This Hanging Kitchen Towel could be yours also! I hope you like it. It, too, is made from Riley Blake fabric. 'Mittens on White' from her 'Colorful Christmas' collection.
The button closure makes it perfect if you have toddlers with little hands that like to pull the towels off of the stove. I've even had one customer buy them to keep her cats from pulling down her towels!!
I would love for you to become a follower of this little blog, but if you decide not to, no worries! All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me your favorite Christmas memory. One of my favorites was when we had a white Christmas in Houston!! It was about 7 years ago, I think. That almost never happens! This giveaway will be open until DEC. 16 at 5 PM CENTRAL TIME. The winner will be chosen randomly and announced no later than SUNDAY DEC. 18. Please leave me your email address so I can contact the lucky winner! For this giveaway, I will not ship internationally this time...sorry!
Good luck everyone!
If you like what you see here, you are in luck...I just re-stocked my shop full of new coffee cozies! Plus, as an added bonus, all my Christmas items are now $2.00 off!!

ReplyDeleteLove the towel and coffee cozie - cute!
My favorite holiday memory was during the year I worked on Christmas. I work in the Pediatric ICU. On Christmas night, Santa came around to all of the patients and brought them a toy. It was really great to be a part of something so special.
ReplyDeleteI love the hanging towel!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas was last year. My kids were ages 3 and 5 so their excitement was precious to watch.

My favorite Christmas memory happened last year, before Christmas!! One morning I had woke up to wrapping paper everywhere!! My four year old at the time had gotten into everyone's gifts and opened up everything!! It was funny and makes me laugh everytime I think about it! Elaine
ReplyDeleteA super Christmas memory is the year I rec'd my diamond ring (18 mos after we were married). He sent me on a note trail around the house and yard. All along it was under the sofa where I started out.
ReplyDeleteLove the extra touch of "t'was the night before Christmas" on the inside of the cozy! My favorite Christmas was in 2004 when all the family came together (think it was the last time) and it snowed in Laredo. The kiddos made snow angels and had snow fights. Then at midnight Santa showed up and gave them all a present. #memories
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable Christmas was the first Christmas I had a child! As a kid I always loved Christmas but I get more joy watching them open their gifts and stocking than I ever got opening them myself!
ReplyDeleteI just love Christmas and have so many wonderful memories. My favorite Christmas memory was when I had my first kiss with my husband when we were dating.
ReplyDeleteThe year I got a saddle for my horse. Yes, I was one lucky little punk. carrie dot hare at gmail dot com

My favorite Chriatmas memory is when my littlest was just two. She thought she was being so sneaky about nibbling little bites off the froot-loop garlands on the tree. Still makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is of my husband putting together the red wagon we had bought for our son. :)
ReplyDeletebrooke at richardchurch dot com
Super cute! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was the year my fiance surprised me by flying overseas to meet me so I wouldn't be by myself over the holiday :-)
One christmas, we gave our son a little red wagon, and then dragged the kids in it to the liquor store because we forgot to get wine for the dinner we had been invited to... hehe
ReplyDeleteIf I don't win that towel, I am definitely going to have to make myself a couple!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas memories was from just a few years ago, when the husband and I went to Memphis and visited Graceland, with it all decorate for the holidays. I'm a massive Elvis fan, and Elvis adored Christmas, so they really go all out. I was so hoping for snow, but we missed it that time. Next time!
Love the mug huggie and the towel. One of my favorite memories of childhood is waking up to see a deer in the backyard of our house and being concerned that one of santa's reindeer got lost.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was a new bike! Thanks for the giveaway! robyn(dot)geddes(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite childhood memory is spending time with my folks at the lake during the summer.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites Christmases was a few years back when my fiance and I went to Disney on Christmas Eve. The park was really empty that day for some reason and it was so nice just to have a day, just the two of us before the hustle of going to two households on Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteI loved when I was young and a believer - the anticipation was so exciting!
ReplyDeleteBest christmas memory was the year we had a blizzard, and Christmas went from a big even to an intimate affair!
ReplyDeleteallthingsfee@gmail.com
My favorite Christmas memory was a Christmas I spent with my husband and parents when I was a newlywed. We went to Chicago and stayed in a ritzy hotel for a long weekend. It was the last 'get away' I had before we became parents and life changed forever !

ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is my brother-in-law playing Santa to my kids and they were so nervous meeting santa!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is decorating the tree with my parents and sister. It was fun to pull out each ornament from the box and have a little jog down memory lane as to where it came from.
ReplyDeleteGoing outside to see our Christmas lights every year when I was young. Still very special in my heart. ;->
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaways. One fave memory was from over 45 years ago. I was a little girl living in Lubbock Texas. There was a radio program that tracked Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. We listened to the radio as they tracked by radar Santa's sleigh. And then they wanted us to go to bed and go to sleep!?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is the year my daughter was baptized. Thanks for the giveaway! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is getting woken up super early one Christmas morning by my tiny little sister. Eventually all of us kids were up, making hot chocolate as quietly as possible, so the parents didn't wake up. We all sat around the Christmas tree in near silence, just whispering as we watched the lights. I don't know what made it so special, but there was just something magical about that morning. No one trying to open presents or carrying on loudly. It was a "Silent Night" moment, except very early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteWhen it snowed last Christmas-it was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaways.
When my cat unwrapped all my oh-so-ready-to-go presents overnight...
ReplyDeleteI love the towel and cozy. Most of my towels have crocheted tops so they will stay put! One of my favorite Christmas memories was last year when my then 3 yr old daughter was able to play in the snow on Christmas! This hardly ever happens in Seattle! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the towel and cozy! Thank you for sharing with us! One of my favorite Christmas memories is when my brother and I received the much coveted "laser tag" when we were kids. We strapped it on and played outside laser tag all day...for once when we were kids we could both agree! Christmas has always been a special time for our family! Thank you again!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories is making cookies with my mom to give to the neighbors, taking them around to everyone was the most fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteFavorite Christmas memories come from my childhood when we would walk to my grandparent's house and sing Christmas carols to them. They just loved that...and so did I.
I remember hanging out with my brother in the hallway until my parents let us come out to open presents. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memories have been this year (so far) since my 2 year old is now old enough to enjoy it. He will go pet the tree and say "pretty Christmas tree!"

One of my favourite memories is waking up early and sneaking down to the living room, only to find my dad already up, marking exams before the day got underway. Probably not his fondest Christmas memory!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :o)
Nice giveaway items! My favorite memory is shopping for ornaments with my parents. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove the towel & coffee cozy! Fav memory-my dad used to give me an album every year for Christmas. Neil Diamond, or Men at Work, or some other awesome music:) Good times!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas memories is tracking Santa on the NORAD website... you can see him flying by all sorts of recognizable world monuments, and count down how much longer it will be until he gets to your house, and it's totally believable because he's just blurry enough to be moving really really fast. *grin* My older cousin showed this to us when we were little, and now fifteen years later we're showing it to our little cousins... it's gotten a bit fancier over the years. *grin*
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win your awesome cup cozy and dish towel! :)
sarita0818 at comcast dot net
It's probably the year we didn't have a christmas tree. We used our ficus instead and put lights on it and ornaments. We now leave the antique red bird ornaments on all year. Cute things you're giving away and I love silhouettes although I usually do them in photos.
ReplyDeleteone of my favorite memories is spending christmas eve at my grandma's as a kid. the entire family was there...lots of laughs and smiles.

My favorite memory is of my two children playing a game while decorating the tree...they attached a hook to ball made from a wad of masking tape found in the trash...they would turn their backs to the tree and one would pitch the ball over their backs, quickly turn around and first one to find it would win....we have saved that ball of masking tape over the years and they play that game EVERY year, even though they are now 34 and 37, lol

one of my favorites is my dad getting angry because santa left boot prints on the rug and him scrubbing the dirty rug...i was a believer for a long time!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway
Hi Morgan!!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas memories is when I was like 6 years old I collected glass figurines of "Classic Children's stories". I had one more figurine to complete me collection and I could hardly wait for Santa to bring it Christmas Eve. I got up early Christmas Day....did not wake anyone and opened my gift! It was my completed figurine and I couldn't believe "how santa knew what I wanted"!!! I love thinkng back to that innocence that we have as children and now I get to see that sparkle in my children during the hoildays!!! Hope your family has a blessed Christmas!!!
I also have something so take a picture of and send to you that I thinkyou could add to your collection of sewing! I was at a craft sale a couple weeks ago and icked up these adroable headbands that tie and have a flower sewed on them! I thought of you right away and thought you for sure could sew these! Me...not so much! LOL!!! When I get a minute I will send a picture to you of a close-up so you can see them!!! :)

my favorite memory is of being a little kid and not having a lot of money. one day someone showed up at the door and had a teddy bear for me. it was the best feeling.
ReplyDeleteFave memory was when we were visiting family in New York on Long Island one Christmas. We had just finished our Christmas Eve meal and we got in the car to drive back to my parents house and it was snowing. It was so amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh my fave memory was last year, here is GA we had a white Christmas too!!! I was worried my son was going to grow up never getting to experience a good snow.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was just a tiny little girl, I can remember coming down the stairs and seeing handmade dresses my mom made me and my older sister! I LOVED that dress.

one of my favorite stories that my sister reminds me of all the time is when we wrapped up a gift for my grandfather and just as he was opening it up I yelled out "it's a shirt". even today when we are opening gifts people in our families like to yell out "it's a shirt" regardless of what's actually inside.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is being with my grandma and helping her make Christmas Eve dinner. By far the best! Thank you for a lovely giveaway!
ReplyDeleteEach year, my parents host a Christmas party in mid-December. My entire family (about 40 people) attend this party. I had just begun dating my boyfriend at the time, and mentioned the party (not inviting him, but telling him I wouldn't be free that night) and he went ahead and invited himself. It was the first time he met my parents, and he ended up meeting EVERYONE! We got married two years later.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was of my son waking up in the middle of the might while I was assembling his present...and new red bike with training wheels. He thought he was dreaming.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is when on one Christmas Eve my mom pulled my brother and I on our sled to the corner grocery to get some milk and SANTA was there buying donuts and coffee! He told us we had to go to bed early that night so that he could bring us our presents. It was magical!
